Brent Barrett has entertained millions of fans around the world from the stages of Broadway, the West End, concert halls, recording studios, and television. Born in Quinter, Kansas, he trained at Carnegie Mellon University in musical theatre before making his Broadway debut in the 1980 revival of West Side Story, cast by Jerome Robbins himself.

Over a career spanning more than four decades, Brent has starred as Billy Flynn in Chicago — The Musical (LA Drama Critics Award), Baron Felix Von Gaigern in Grand Hotel (Broadway and West End), Fred Graham/Petruchio in Kiss Me, Kateat the London Palladium (Olivier Award nomination, filmed for PBS), and Frank Butler opposite Reba McEntire in Annie Get Your Gun. He starred as the Phantom in Phantom — The Las Vegas Spectacular at the Venetian Hotel for two years, and later in the German production Das Phantom der Oper.
Brent originated the role of Dr. Hannibal Lecter in Silence! The Musical(Off-Broadway cult hit), appeared in the Off-Broadway premiere of Closer Than Ever, and has performed as a concert soloist with symphony orchestras, opera houses, and concert halls internationally. He has recorded three solo albums and released a live album and PBS special with The Four Phantoms in Concert alongside John Cudia, Franc D'Ambrosio, and Ciarán Sheehan.
On screen, Brent has appeared in The Producers (2005), Longtime Companion, Great Performances (PBS), and as recurring character Tony Barclay on All My Children.
